Open the 'Share with users' modal

Right-click the object in the sidebar and select Share with users. The modal shows general access and user-specific permissions.

General access

The General access setting controls who can access the object and where it appears in the sidebar:

  • Private: Only the owner can access the object.

  • Specific users: Only the owner and users you specifically share with can access the object.

  • Dataspace: Everyone in the dataspace can access the object.

The placement of objects according to the General access setting is explained in the My objects, Shared with me, and sidebar groups section.

When general access is set to Dataspace, you can also select the access level for generic users in the dataspace. The general access level defaults to option By roles, which means access is resolved according to each users' roles as decided by the dataspace managers.
